Fall is here and times to transition our lives for the\nseason change! We\u2019re putting away summer clothes, getting out the winter\nclothes, prepping our homes for winter, and setting up holiday d\u00e9cor.  It\u2019s time to update your insurance policies as\nwell! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you have a vehicle to put in storage or take out of\nstorage? Do you want to add coverage to your vehicles for the winter months?\nHave you double checked your home insurance coverages to make sure you\u2019re okay\nin the event of a loss? Have you prepped your home for winter? Do you need to\nadd drivers to your policy? It\u2019s always better to be prepared for the worst so\nyou can have peace of mind if an accident occurs. Call your insurance company\nto review your policies before winter hits!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re wondering what to do to prep your home for the\nwinter months, we\u2019ve made a quick list for you! This list will vary based on\nyour home but these are just some things to be considering during this time of\nyear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Check your heating system. <\/li>
  2. Paint, caulk, and seal everything. This is\nMichigan and you don\u2019t want water, snow, or cold air getting in anywhere. <\/li>
  3. Clean your gutters. <\/li>
  4. Check smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms. <\/li>
  5. Clean chimney and order\/chop wood. <\/li>
  6. Shut down pools and sprinklers. Drain outdoor\nfaucets. <\/li>
  7. Prep lawn, gardens, and trees for winter months.\n<\/li>
  8. Make sure attic is clean and sealed to prevent\ncritters from sneaking in there. <\/li>
  9. Prepare for snow. Get the garage cleaned out and\nthe snow blower ready.<\/li>
  10. Check your energy usage. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
